Alex Khvatov: What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?
Ayden Eberhardt: I am 6’2 and 200 pounds.
Alex Khvatov: How did you prepare for the 2020 season with no offseason training?
Ayden Eberhardt: I went back to Colorado. My parents have a weight room in their garage. I have a field close to my house. My sister plays basketball at CSU, and I ran with her.
Alex Khvatov: Besides football, what other sports did you play in high school?
Ayden Eberhardt: I played baseball and basketball.
Alex Khvatov: What positions did you play in high school?
Ayden Eberhardt: I played QB all four years. I spent three years on varsity and was a starting QB for two years. They didn’t want me to play defense. I returned a kickoff in the playoffs.
Alex Khvatov: Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?
Ayden Eberhardt: I was getting recruited by Colorado School of Mines and Western Colorado. They wanted me to play QB.
Alex Khvatov: How did you wind up at Wyoming?
Ayden Eberhardt: They called me during my junior year. They wanted me to play WR. I accepted it. I was more of a running QB in high school anyway. It was my only D-I offer. I came as a walk-on and I earned a scholarship about a year and a half later.
Alex Khvatov: How would you describe your overall career?
Ayden Eberhardt: I have been here for four years. We have been bowl eligible for three years. The goal is to win the MWC this next season. I have played on all four special teams. I play WR. It is not only about catching the ball in this offense. It is about blocking and understanding the entire offense. On special teams, I have had quite a bit of tackles. I scored a couple of TD’s last year. I am also a wildcat QB.
Alex Khvatov: Has it been a tough transition making the move from QB to WR?
Ayden Eberhardt: I had to understand the WR position and how to run routes. They are two totally different positions. I had to work on my releases and footwork. I am ready to make the most of my opportunities this year. The offense will do a lot this season.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths?
Ayden Eberhardt: My hands and being able to make a play. Wherever the ball is, I will come down with it. I try to pick up yards after catching the ball. I will make a move and follow my blocks.
Alex Khvatov: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
Ayden Eberhardt: I am working on coming out of my breaks quicker. I am also working with QB’s on timing.
Alex Khvatov: What is the highlight of your career up to this point?
Ayden Eberhardt: It is the bowl game last year. I had a 53-yard TD against Georgia State. I ended up getting on the top 10 plays on Sportscenter. I caught the ball and made a couple of guys miss. It was pretty exciting. Another highlight for me was catching balls from my former QB Josh Allen at his pro day.
Alex Khvatov: What is the biggest lesson that you have taken away from your coaching staff?
Ayden Eberhardt: Coach Bohl is a great head coach. He is straight up with you. He will never be around the bush. He is an honest guy. My WR coach Grant has taught me how to be a man in today’s society. He always talks to us about different life lessons and how to be a man.
Alex Khvatov: What is your favorite NFL team?
Ayden Eberhardt: Growing up, I have been a Denver Broncos fan.
Alex Khvatov: Who is your favorite NFL player?
Ayden Eberhardt: I like Adam Thielen. He makes plays. I also like Taysom Hill. I can relate to him. He plays so many different positions.
Alex Khvatov: What players on your team should we keep an eye on for this upcoming season?
Ayden Eberhardt: DL Garrett Crall. He has been working his tail off. He will have a pretty big year. RB Trey Smith was a transfer from Louisville. It is his last year. RB Xazavian Valladay is big time.
Alex Khvatov: Who is the best player that you have faced on an opposing team?
Ayden Eberhardt: Kenny Golladay from Northern Illinois. He was the truth. He made a lot of plays. He kept them in the game.
Alex Khvatov: What is the most important trait for a WR?
Ayden Eberhardt: Playmaking. At the end of the day, you have to come down with the ball and be relied on.
Alex Khvatov: What do you enjoy most about football?
Ayden Eberhardt: It takes the whole team to get the win. Everyone works with each other.
Alex Khvatov: What makes you unique?
Ayden Eberhardt: I am a WR who can play special teams and knock some people on the ground. I am not afraid of hitting people. I can play any position.
Alex Khvatov: What are your hobbies?
Ayden Eberhardt: I like being outdoors. Hiking and fishing.
Alex Khvatov: What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?
Ayden Eberhardt: I graduated in finance. I am thinking about coaching. I want to stay around the game and help the youth grow up.

Ayden Eberhardt: Hard working, playmaker, football smart, passionate, and competitive.
