DeMarcus Robinson: 6’3, 205lbs.
Christopher Reiss: During COVID-19, what have you been doing this offseason to prepare for the upcoming season?
DeMarcus Robinson: The biggest that COVID has taught me during this time was doing what I have to do when my coaches are not watching.
Christopher Reiss: When breaking down your film, what should stand out?
DeMarcus Robinson: The film is going to say that I have a high football IQ and a very physical player.
Christopher Reiss: Coming out of high school, what schools show interest in you?
DeMarcus Robinson: USF was heavy. FSU and Southern Miss.
Christopher Reiss: In high school, what other sports did you play besides football?
DeMarcus Robinson: I ran 200m in track.
Christopher Reiss: What are the expectations for the team for this upcoming season?
DeMarcus Robinson: Be the best team in our conference. We want to win out this season.
Christopher Reiss: Is there anyone at Prairie View that we should keep our eye out for this season?
DeMarcus Robinson: WR Tristan Wallace, LB Storey Jackson, WR Chris Johnson, LB Tre’Shaud Smith, and DB Reggie Stubblefield.
Christopher Reiss: How would you describe your overall career?
DeMarcus Robinson: It has its ups and downs. Playing JUCO football is hard, but glad I have been able to play D-I football. I am excited to see what is next for me and my career.
Christopher Reiss: What is the highlight of your college football career?
DeMarcus Robinson: In our homecoming game last season, I had two picks in one game. That would be my highlight game.
Christopher Reiss: What are some strengths of your game?
DeMarcus Robinson: I am a 6’3 corner. My size is a strength. I love to tackle and my favorite is playing man-to-man. I am a physical guy that makes plays for the team.
Christopher Reiss: What are some assets of your game that you are trying to improve on?
DeMarcus Robinson: I would like to gain a little bit more leadership on the team. I am one of the older guys on the team. I want to be more vocal to the younger guys on the team.
Christopher Reiss: What do you enjoy most about football?
DeMarcus Robinson: I love everything about football. I love the crowd, I love the culture in the locker room, I love the physical aspect of the game. I just love football.
Christopher Reiss: What are you majoring in?
DeMarcus Robinson: Kinesiology.
Christopher Reiss: What does life after football look like for you?
DeMarcus Robinson: The NFL is the main goal. If I don’t make it to the NFL, I want to move back down to Florida and become a coach and fulfill my dream and become a head coach one day.
Christopher Reiss: Is there a player in the NFL that you look up to?
DeMarcus Robinson: Jalen Ramsey. I like the mentality that he has. I also like to watch Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey.
Christopher Reiss: What is your favorite football team?
DeMarcus Robinson: Baltimore Ravens.
Christopher Reiss: Who is your favorite football player of all-time?
DeMarcus Robinson: Lamar Jackson.
Christopher Reiss: What are some hobbies of yours?
DeMarcus Robinson: I like relaxing to chill my body down. I like to play video games like Madden and War Zone. I have a nice car that I like to work on and take to car shows. It keeps me busy.
