Christopher Reiss: What are your measurements?

Amir Postley: 6’2, 230lbs. 

Christopher Reiss: During COVID-19, what have you been doing this offseason to prepare for the upcoming season?

Amir Postley: All the gyms were closed. I have been able to do some work with cones and ladders that I had.

Christopher Reiss: When breaking down your film, what should stand out?

Amir Postley: My effort. Whether I’m in the play or not, I’m giving it 100% effort.

Christopher Reiss: Coming out of high school, what schools show interest in you?

Amir Postley: West Virginia, Rhode Island, Delaware, Boston College, Uconn, Temple, Villanova, and Miami. 

Christopher Reiss: In high school, what other positions did you play besides linebacker?

Amir Postley: Tight end, fullback, and safety. 

Christopher Reiss: In high school, what other sports did you play besides football?

Amir Postley: I was strictly a football kid.

Christopher Reiss: What are the expectations for the team for this upcoming season?

Amir Postley: We have just focused on this season and focusing on what we can control. We are preparing like we are 100% having a football season.

Christopher Reiss: Is there anyone at your school that we should keep our eye out for this season?

Amir Postley: LB Jakob Cummings and DB K.J. Smith.  

Christopher Reiss: How would you describe your overall career?

Amir Postley: It was a bumpy road. When I went JUCO, I lost faith in myself. One thing that I did was keep going and hoping my opportunity would come, and it did. The moment when I got to D-I and have the opportunity to play have meant the world to me. My goal is to play D-I ball and I have been able to do that, let’s not stop now.

Christopher Reiss: What is the highlight of your college football career?

Amir Postley: Last year, we played against Campbell College. I was able to start and I was just everywhere. I was flying around on the field. The game slowed down for me. It was not my best game yet, but the game just slowed down and the game started to come easier for me.

Christopher Reiss: What are some strengths of your game?

Amir Postley: I understand the game and I am quick on my feet. I always run hundred miles an hour, I am big, but I can get out there and cover.

Christopher Reiss: What are some assets of your game that you are trying to improve on?

Amir Postley: I am trying to improve on my speed. I am working on my hand movement on my block sheds.

Christopher Reiss: What do you enjoy most about football?

Amir Postley: I enjoy everything about the game of football. I love going to war with my brothers. Every time I step on the field, all of my problems just go away. It is just amazing. 

Christopher Reiss: What are you majoring in?

Amir Postley: I have a major in business.

Christopher Reiss: What does life after football look like for you?

Amir Postley: I want to some day run my own clothing company. It’s just something I wanted to do as a child. I want to go back to school and get my nursing degree.

Christopher Reiss: What or who motivates you?

Amir Postley: Where I come from because I had nothing growing up. 

Christopher Reiss: Is there a player in the NFL that you look up to?

Amir Postley: Troy Polamalu.   

Christopher Reiss: What is your favorite football team?

Amir Postley: Pittsburgh Steelers. 

Christopher Reiss: Who is your favorite football player of all-time?

Amir Postley: Troy Polamalu.   

Christopher Reiss: What are some hobbies of yours?

Amir Postley: I like hanging out with family and friends, working out and playing my video games.

Christopher Reiss: On game day, who is your go-to artist?

Amir Postley: Polo G, Meek Mill, and Lil Uzi Vert.
