Player Report – Week 8

Junior RB Javonte Williams (UNC)

Junior RB Javonte Williams gained 160 yards on 19 carries and scored three TD’s versus NC State.  He is a downhill, physical runner who is very well-built.  He excels in between the tackles.  He has a good burst through the hole and runs low to the ground.  He has forced more missed tackles than any other RB in CFB this season.  He bounces off defenders with regularity.  He has displayed good patience and outstanding balance.  He has climbed up my RB rankings, and I consider him a day two selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Junior WR Seth Williams (Auburn)

Junior Seth Williams is physical with good size (6’3 and 211 pounds).  He is clutch in contested situations.  He excels on 50-50 balls.  He uses his large catching radius and size to shield the defensive backs away from the ball.  He displays tremendous leaping ability and very good body control.  He is a good athlete and he put on full display when he hurdled over an Ole Miss defender in the open field.  He also came up with a game-winning 58-yard TD.  He adjusted in mid-air and snatched the ball on a back-shoulder throw and sprinted into the end zone with one-minute left in the game.  He had eight receptions for 150 yards and a TD against the Rebels on Saturday.  I currently have a second-round grade on him.

Senior LB Charles Snowden (Virginia)

He is a very versatile LB who impacts the game in a number of ways.  He recorded eight total tackles, one sack and one pass break up against Miami, FL.  He is 6’7, 240 pounds with long arms and a huge wingspan.  Snowden has good speed and moves well in space.  He is very comfortable in coverage due to his length and is an effective blitzer.  Another day two prospect in next year’s draft.
