Player Report – Week 11
Senior QB Kyle Trask (Florida)
His top target TE Kyle Pitts missed the game, but Trask still had a terrific game against Arkansas. He completed 23/29 passes for 356 yards and threw six TD’s. He spread the ball around to different targets. He likes to throw it to his TE’s and RB’s out of the backfield. His field vision is very good. I have been impressed with his accuracy and ball placement this season. He reads defenses well. He makes good decisions. His best trait is his poise. In my opinion, he has risen into the first round.
Senior WR Dazz Newsome (UNC)
Against Wake Forest, Newsome finally broke out with a huge game this season. He had 10 receptions for 189 yards and scored two TD’s. He is a slot receiver. He also adds value as a punt returner. He is an explosive wideout. He has very good speed. He is elusive after the catch and shows terrific acceleration in the open field. He can cut on a dime and displays good body control.
Junior WR Elijah Moore (Ole Miss)
Against South Carolina, Elijah Moore had another monster game. He had 13 receptions for 225 yards and scored two TD’s. He also had six carries for 45 rushing yards. Through the first seven games of this season, he already has 74 receptions for 1,054 yards and eight TD’s in Lane Kiffin’s offense. He is a playmaker out of the slot. Moore has very good speed and can stretch the field vertically. I have been impressed with his hands. He is elusive in the open field. He is also extremely quick in and out of his breaks. He shows a knack for creating separation.
Senior WR Ty Fryfogle (Indiana)
He had 11 catches for 200 yards and two TD’s against the Spartans. He has finally broken this year. Fryfogle is an athletic WR with good size and strength. He plays with physicality. He displays good hand/eye coordination. He shows reliable hands and catches the ball away from his frame.
