Since we have been out for the break I’ve just been focusing on getting ready for our season in the spring. I have been in the weight room working out, watching film, looking at the playbook, and becoming more familiar with the playbook. I feel like I have a lot to prove and ready to get going. I’m ready to achieve both team and personal goals within this next year.

          As much as I’ve been motivated, I feel like it will even be better knowing we will finally be able to play. I didn’t get to last year because of an injury and didn’t get to this fall due to Covid-19 which has been frustrating. I’m just ready to do everything. I can show out and help my team win. Winning is the main thing, win every day, win in the weight-room, win at practice, win in the classroom, win during the position/team meetings and win on Saturdays against whoever we play against. The main thing I’ve been focusing on is just becoming a better football player overall. One aspect of my game I’ve been really wanting to improve is being shiftier and having quicker feet. The ability to make people miss and winning one on one matchups is something I want to happen every time the ball comes my way.

          At the end of the day I’m just ready to go out and do what I know I can do with the the ability that I have. Coming to UMHB I knew what the mindset and expectations would be coming into this type of program. I feel like winners have the mindset to know when it’s time for business and when to lock in. Every time I’ve set my mind to something despite the obstacle I’ve achieved it. I want to win a National Championship and I know this program wants to win a National Championship and right now is just the preparation time to go compete for one.
