Pros:

  • Very active eyes, always looking for an assignment
  • Can anchor larger defensive lineman
  • Once you are in his grasp, it is rare you are getting away
  • Covers ground quickly
  • Can turn shoulders in the run game to open lanes
  • Great as a puller in the run game
  • Has very long limbs

Cons:

  • Hand placement can be inaccurate off the snap
  • Allows defensive lineman to get better positioning inside his frame due to his inaccurate strikes
  • Can recognize stunts, but oftentimes reacts too late

2. Javion Cohen, Alabama

Position: Guard
Height: 6’ 4”
Weight: 305 Lbs

Pros:

  • Always has his head on a swivel
  • Smart player that understands different responsibilities
  • High effort player
  • Can get to second level with violence
  • Has strong athletic presence in trenches, does not get collapsed into pocket
    easily
  • Can bully lineman backwards in the run game
  • Reads stunts well

Cons:

  • Does not have great lateral quickness
  • Feet stand too still at times
  • Does not open up huge holes in the run game

3. Emil Ekiyor, Alabama

Pros:

  • Always has his head on a swivel
  • Smart player that understands different responsibilities
  • High effort player

Pros:

  • Has position versatility on the line
  • Incredibly strong lower body
  • Great at redirecting defenders in the run game with his powerful strike
  • Very aggressive player
  • Loves to find and initiate contact, with a punishing play style
  • Can move with authority and purpose
  • Plays with a wide base

Cons:

  • Timing of his strikes are inconsistent and can lead to mis-strikes
  • Pad level can be too high at times
  • Timing off the snap is slow every so often

5. Nick Broeker, Mississippi

Year: Senior
Position: Guard
Height: 6’ 5”
Weight: 315 Lbs

Pros:

  • Quick and smooth mover downfield
  • Very good wide base to make up for lack of strength
  • Good run blocker, set
  • Above average technique
  • Gets to the second level with quickness
  • Good speed for pulling

Cons:

  • Very average strength
  • Can be beaten off the edge by speed rushers consistently
  • Will overextend at times
