Miami Hurricane’s cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is reportedly set to declare for the 2023 NFL Draft, per sources close to Rivals.
Another underclassman appears primed to enter the NFL Draft, this time the Super Junior cornerback from Miami (Florida), Tyrique Stevenson. A transfer from Georgia, Stevenson was our fourth-ranked cornerback in our top 15 cornerback rankings, and the 84th overall prospect on my preseason top 300 big board. He was third-team All-ACC this season, and finished his Miami career with a targeting penalty.
Stevenson is the type of cornerback the NFL desires, capable of playing both man and zone coverage on the backend. He will leave college with 26 starts over four years (21 with Miami, 5 with Georgia), having been a four-star prospect from Miami Southridge in the Class of 2019.
Stevenson is currently projected to end up a day-two selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Looks like a strong man coverage cornerback. Understands positioning well. Tends to play trail technique and is effective doing so.
