Florida Quarterback Anthony Richardson Declares for 2023 NFL Draft

Florida Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson has officially declared for the 2023 NFL Draft.

Florida Gators star quarterback Anthony Richardson has officially declared for the 2023 NFL Draft, per his personal Instagram account. This decision is coming off of the heels of a couple of quarterback decisions in this class, as Washington quarterback Michael Penix elected to return to school, and several other NFL prospects entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Anthony Richardson

QB – Florida Gators

HT: 6032
WT: 236
Year: Super Sophomore
High School: Eastside (Gainesville, FL)
Rating: 4-star (0.9204)

Projected Draft Grade: Developmental Starter

Projection: 1st/2nd Round

While most media analysts have been calling Anthony Richardson a top-five pick most of the season, Richardson has yet to play consistently well, which is a cause for concern by NFL teams. While the NFL Draft market is constantly driven by quarterbacks and the need for stars at the position, he should be a first-round pick.

There’s no doubt that Richardson is immensely talented and has elite physical tools that we don’t see in many quarterbacks. The projection here is very risky, but the potential rewards are franchise-altering.

The next time we can expect to see Anthony Richardson in any sort of football action will be at the NFL Combine.
