Alex Khvatov: What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?
Nicholas Ioanilli: 6’0, 230 and my best time was a 4.56 at a Toledo satellite camp during my SR year of HS.
Alex Khvatov: Describe your overall experience at the FCS Bowl in Daytona
Beach, FL.
Nicholas Ioanilli: It was definitely worth playing in. A great overall experience and opportunity to showcase my talents in front of multiple NFL and CFL scouts.
Alex Khvatov: Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in
you?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Notre Dame College in Ohio (D2) was my first offer and until my Colgate offer came later on. But other schools that showed interest in me were Bowling Green State University and SRU (D2).
Alex Khvatov: Why did you choose Colgate?
Nicholas Ioanilli: I felt right on my official visit and had a great relationship with the coaching staff. Not to forget to mention the opportunities it can offer you academically and athletically.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths?
Nicholas Ioanilli: My strengths are my mentality and the work ethic I carry toward my business that needs to be done in order to prep and put myself in a position to succeed. I believe I can add depth to any organization by being a sideline to sideline type of LB that can also make a living on any special teams.
Alex Khvatov: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
Nicholas Ioanilli: My body control, strength, agility, hand eye and basic reaction skills.
Alex Khvatov: Tell us about your overall career.
Nicholas Ioanilli: 214 total career tackles, 15 career TFLs, 6 sacks, 3 INTs and 1 TD.
Alex Khvatov: What is the highlight of your career up to this point?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Having two INTs in a game my sophomore year vs Bucknell.
Alex Khvatov: What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are
most proud of?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Winning the Patriot League title my sophomore and junior year of college.
Alex Khvatov: What is the biggest thing that you will take away from your coaching staff?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Play football at all times with an attitude and effort.
Alex Khvatov: What is the most important trait for a LB?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Instincts.

Nicholas Ioanilli: Pittsburgh Steelers.

Nicholas Ioanilli: Hines Ward.
Alex Khvatov: Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the offense?
Nicholas Ioanilli: The overall formation and how are the offensive linemen lined up for the run game. Secure my coverage, what receivers are near me, what can I pick up from their alignment. Is the team a big inside run team, outside run, screen team or RPO?
Alex Khvatov: What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next
season?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Grant Breneman, Jack Badovinac, Milton Braasch, Blane Briggs, Malik Twyman and Nick Draught.
Alex Khvatov: Who is the toughest player that you have faced on an opposing team?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Darnell Woolford from Army.
Alex Khvatov: What do you enjoy most about football?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Team brotherhood, the way it brings people together and provides some people outlets from environments physically and emotionally.
Alex Khvatov: What is your definition of a leader?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Someone who brings the team together with attitude, energy and with on-field play. To be willing to take criticism, but also hand it out correctly. A person for any teammate to come forward with an issue or any situation for help in or outside of football.
Alex Khvatov: What are your hobbies?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Drawing occasionally.

career is over?
Nicholas Ioanilli: Build a family I can support happily.
