Alex Khvatov: Describe your overall experience at the FCS Bowl in Daytona
Beach, FL.
Terraris Saffold: My overall experience at the FCS bowl was amazing. I was able to showcase my talent in front of NFL/CFL scouts. I really enjoyed playing with some of the players I played against. I was able to network with some agents. I also like the fact that it was well organized.
Alex Khvatov: Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?
Terraris Saffold: Coming out of high school, some schools that showed interest in me were Mississippi state, West Alabama, Hinds Community College and Wallace Community College.
Alex Khvatov: How did you wind up at JUCO?
Terraris Saffold: The reason I end up going to JUCO is because I didn’t have a good ACT score due to the sources of my high school. I was only able to take the ACT one time before signing day.
Alex Khvatov: Why did you transfer to Central State University?
Terraris Saffold: The reason I transferred to Central State is because I wanted a higher education and to play football again. Out of all the coaches I reached out to, coach Cedric Pearl was the only coach to reach back to me and was willing to give me an opportunity and a full scholarship.
Alex Khvatov: What are your strengths?
Terraris Saffold: My strength is that I’m a hard worker.
Alex Khvatov: What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?
Terraris Saffold: The areas of my game I’m trying to improve on is gaining more weight.
Alex Khvatov: Tell us about your overall career.
Terraris Saffold: My overall career was pretty good. Well, I started playing football in ninth grade. My overall high school career, I had about 45 touchdowns, 2999 rushing yards and 2100 receiving yards. I also played in the down under bowl in Australia & being the first all-state at my high school. After high school, I went on to play basketball at Wallace Community College. After two years, I signed with Central State University. My career at Central State, I was able to rack up 4,869 all-purpose yards, 2,705 rushing yards, 1,488 kick return yards, 686 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns. I rank number one in rushing and all-purpose yards in the D2 at the SIAC Conference. I also rank number two in all-purpose at D2.

Alex Khvatov: What is the highlight of your career up to this point?
Terraris Saffold: The highlight of my career is when coach put me in the game my freshman year during the homecoming game. I had one catch, 70 yards for a touchdown.
Alex Khvatov: What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of?
Terraris Saffold: My biggest accomplishment in college is graduating.
Alex Khvatov: What was the biggest thing that you took away from your coaching staff?
Terraris Saffold: The biggest thing I took away from my coaching staff was being passionate and never give up.
Alex Khvatov: What is the most important trait for a RB?
Terraris Saffold: As a running back, some of the most important traits are awareness, speed, running ability and blocking ability to name a few. You also need to be intelligent in order to know the plays and understand your role on each and every play.
Alex Khvatov: What is your favorite NFL team?
Terraris Saffold: My favorite team in the NFL is Cleveland Browns.
Alex Khvatov: Who is your favorite NFL player?
Terraris Saffold: My favorite NFL player Saquon Barkley.
Alex Khvatov: Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the defense?
Terraris Saffold: The tendencies that I am looking for from the defense are the linebackers.
Alex Khvatov: What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?
Terraris Saffold: Delane Brown and Darrell Williams are players you should keep an eye on for the 2020 season.
Alex Khvatov: Who is the toughest player that you have faced on an opposing team?
Terraris Saffold: Alabama A&M linebackers were one of my toughest opponents.
Alex Khvatov: What do you enjoy most about football?
Terraris Saffold: I enjoy scoring the football.
Alex Khvatov: What is your definition of a leader?
Terraris Saffold: My definition of a great leader is being consistent in equal all over the boards.
Alex Khvatov: What are your hobbies?
Terraris Saffold: My hobby is playing basketball.
Alex Khvatov: What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?
Terraris Saffold: After my football career, I am going to be a business owner and start my own real estate business.
