Friday Practice – Day One
National Team (Black)
WR Amechie Walker Jr. (Iowa State) – played DB at Iowa State the last two years. On Friday, he was working exclusively at WR. He ran good routes. He showed dependable hands. He made a tough grab near the sideline during the scrimmage portion.
LB Zach Hall (Southeast Missouri State) – was a playmaker at LB for Southeast Missouri State. He won the Buck Buchanan award during his junior year. He is undersized, but he has a nose for the ball. He possesses great instincts. He forced a fumble during the scrimmage portion.
DT Pat Bethel (Miami, FL) – never had that breakout season at Miami. The talent is certainly there, and he showed it during the one on one session. O-line had a tough time containing him. He displayed active hands and good short area quickness.
DT Edgar Cerenord (Duke) – has long arms and huge hands. He stays low to the ground and wins the leverage battle. He displayed great pass rush repertoire moves in the one on one’s.
DE Tre Hornbuckle (Duke) – active hands, long arms and a non-stop motor were on display on Friday.
DE Tim Bonner (Florida Atlantic) – transfer from Louisville. He demonstrated quickness and good bend off the edge.
