Keondre Coburn enters the 2022 season with 33 starts and lots of playing experience. For someone with his experience, I wish that Coburn played with more instincts and was more like a seasoned pro. He has so much potential as a nose tackle at the next level, but can’t seem to complete the package quite yet.

Keondre Coburn scouting notes
Pros:
- Good explosion, especially for his size.
- Good strength to control the tackle, even against power runners. Struggles with arm tackles and getting off of blocks to make plays against the run.
- Solid gap defender, can influence runners looking for a hole even engaged in a block.
Cons:
- Not a good athlete. Struggling with basic athleticism.
- Not a lot of lateral quickness.
- I’d like to see more from Coburn. He just doesn’t demand special teams.
- Doesn’t have the brute power.
- First step is average.
- Didn’t draw a lot of double teams, didn’t demand it. Was absolutely overwhelmed in double team wins.
- Very limited hand usage. When he tires to use his hands, he’s wildly uncoordinated.
- Not a lot of instinct. Loses the runner in traffic very easily – too carried away trying to ramp up his intensity to get off a block.
