A huge, hulking body on the defensive front, Jerrod Clark is a very interesting 1-tech prospect for the NFL. Was recruited as a tight end coming out of high school and was moved after his redshirt season in the Spring of 2019 and has put on over 100 pounds since arriving on campus.

Jerrod Clark scouting notes
Pros:
- Huge upper body, absolutely monstrous.
- Wins almost exclusively with his brute power.
- Can draw double teams but hasn’t really demanded that from his play yet.
- Shows decent hand usage.
- Very strong hands. Has an excellent stiff arm.
- Strong tackler with a solid wrap up ability. Struggles to make tackles while on blocks, has issues disengaging for the run game.
- More of a plug nose than a gap defender.
Cons:
- Doesn’t have a lot of speed or athletic ability, mostly because of his size.
- There isn’t a lot of lateral quickness from Clark.
- Struggles to take contact from his side.
- Lower body is average. Could be a lot stronger, but isn’t quite there yet.
- First step isn’t anything special. Has issues staying lower than the offensive linemen, even when they are taller than him.
- Doesn’t have a lot of explosion.
- When he draws double teams, he can contain it but won’t consistently do more.
- Doesn’t really have the athleticism to pursuit effectively.
- Not a great pass rusher.
