Isaiah Bowser is a transfer from Northwestern who has done well for himself in Gus Malzahn’s system. He’s a power runner who gets going downhill and can bully his way to falling forward. He could potentially be a top 10-15 RB in this upcoming class.

Isaiah Bowser scouting notes
Pros:
- Surprising speed. Good quickness. Just oozes athleticism and balance with his every step.
- Excellent run power. Big body makes it difficult to fight to the ground.
- Works very well in traffic. It takes much more than an arm tackle to bring him down. Center of gravity is low through the tackles but moves up the farther he gets downfield.
- He shows good contact balance and keeps his feet in tough situations.
- Fairly capable pass blocker. Doesn’t have great form but can get the job done in a variety of ways.
Cons:
- Has a good one-cut, but that’s it. Won’t effectively change direction in significant direction changes.
- Struggles to accelerate effectively. Needs a couple of good steps to get up to speed.
- I don’t see a lot of reading blocks from Bowser, he’s more of a lower-the-head and grind-through-plays style of runner.
- Quick to the spot but doesn’t have great bend to engage the defender straight up. Will slow a rusher down regardless.
