Dorian Thompson-Robinson (DTR) entered the 2022 college season with 34 career starts but has yet to play a complete season at UCLA healthy (excluding the 2020 covid season, which was greatly abbreviated by the PAC-12). He’s much of the same mold as Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Tyler Huntley, the former Utah star quarterback, and is mostly a mobile prospect who can create opportunities with his legs to extend plays.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson scouting notes
Pros:
- Arm strength is adequate, Dorian Thompson-Robinson can push the ball down the field.
- Displays excellent touch ability.
- He has good footwork, crosses oddly behind instead of in front.
- DTR is an excellent athlete and does well in collecting yardage downfield as a runner. Somewhat elusive. He doesn’t have the size to make you comfortable with his desire to run. More diminutive stature will make you worry about him.
- Offers some improv skills, mostly as a runner.
Cons:
- He needs to be more consistent about how he layers the ball in between coverages.
- Concerning inconsistency with accuracy.
- Placement is usually just a little bit off.
- He does not feel the pocket well, and tries to backpedal from the pocket instead of stepping up.
- Thompson-Robinson doesn’t show much ability to extend the play within structure.
- Loses awareness at inexplicable times.
