AT Perry has been a remarkable playmaker in the Wake Forest scheme, showing off brilliance at times with his long frame and explosive playmaking ability. His ability to stretch the field and be a target downfield for Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman is diminished because he’s had so many issues with concentration drops and being unable to haul in wide-open passes. If this is something he can overcome, he is a top-tier receiver prospect in this class.

AT Perry scouting notes
Pros:
- Good speed, especially for his size.
- Changes direction well.
- Very explosive athlete. Shows his hops off routinely. He certainly can make things happen after the catch.
- Good footwork for a big man. Gets through his breaks cleanly and creates separation. Timing routes are excellent.
- Shows the ability to get two feet inbounds.
- Solid hands. Perry shows an extraordinary catch radius and soft hands to secure balls from any field level.
- Has excellent vertical ability.
- He flashes the ability to make catches through contact with no real issue. Shields the catch point well with his frame. Dives and lays out through contact and comes up with balls. He struggles when he cannot shield the catch point or isn’t expecting contact. Don’t see him securing a lot of those catches in those spots.
- Offers a strong deep-threat ability.
- Perry is a strong threat in the red zone because of his frame.
Cons:
- He doesn’t have breakaway speed once he gets to space.
- Acceleration is still average.
- He drops some real gimmie catches. Concentration drops are a thing with Perry. He does drop them too often for a lot of people to like.
- I think he tends to jump too often – he will draw a lot of unnecessary contact at the next level doing that.
