Tyree Wilson is a transfer from Texas A&M. He stepped up as a pass rusher in 2021, generating 37 pressures and collecting six sacks, showing a lot of the tools NFL teams want to see at the defensive end position and moving much better than his size would suggest. He entered the year on both the Senior Bowl watchlist and the Shrine Bowl 1000 and was also on the leaked preseason top 25 list of the NFS, a scouting service used by the NFL teams. He’s done well to show why he has the hype in 2022 and should finish the year solidifying himself as an NFL Draft prospect.

Tyree Wilson scouting notes
Pros:
- Tyree Wilson is very quick. A good athlete overall and should test fairly well in all categories.
- Very sudden first step, dangerous when he can time it with the snap well.
- Very explosive athlete.
- Has some serious leg drive to generate a powerful bull rush.
- Motor is good, but not great. I’d like to see him work to the boundary better.
- Decent tackler. Wilson has upside in this area.
Cons:
- Needs to disengage with blocks better and faster. Likes to hold them in place.
- Stiff athlete, don’t see any consistent bend from him.
- Has no idea how to use his hands. Gets plugged routinely at the line of scrimmage.
- Consistently giving up as soon as the ball is thrown. Won’t find him chasing big plays down the field or to the perimeter very often.
