One of eight children, Cody Mauch is from a big family and has a tough mentality. He started his first two games in the Spring season at right tackle before moving to the left side and never looking back. He was the first official invite to the Senior Bowl in 2023 and the first official prospect to accept. His cousin, Jamie Mauch, played basketball at North Dakota State from 2012-2013, and his uncle, Andrew, was a javelin thrower for the Bison.

Cody Mauch scouting notes
Pros:
- Solid speed for the position, will have no issues pulling.
- Very stout upper body.
- Seems to have a good anchor.
- Good hand placement.
- Shows solid hand and arm strength. Dictates where the defender goes.
- Solid pass protector, and does a good job not pursuing the play downfield.
- Gets downhill well. Works into the second level.
- College offense ran many pro-style schemes, shouldn’t be much of an issue moving up to the next level.
Cons:
- Good lateral quickness but gets too committed to moving one way or another and can lose his leverage.
- Not consistent about getting off blocks and continuing to build momentum downfield.
- Didn’t play against a lot of top competition – would like to see how his strength and technique holds up against better prospects.
