Dalton Kincaid is a transfer from San Diego, playing his third season at Utah in 2022 and having entered the season as the second tight end on the roster. An unfortunate injury to Brant Kuithe thrust Kincaid into a larger role in 2022, which he responded very well too. His size may be a concern for some NFL teams, as he isn’t the biggest body but more of big slot. His blocking is average and it could push him down into day three.

Dalton Kincaid scouting notes
Pros:
- Solid upper body strength.
- Fairly explosive. Shows solid burst, especially with the ball in his hands.
- Excellent hands. Won’t make many difficult catches but anything thrown within his catch radius, he normally comes down with. Caught 16 of 16 targets against USC for 234 yards.
- Has been credited just one career drop.
- Very decent vertical ability. Can get up over defenders and make plays.
- Very decent run blocker. When he’s locked on a linebacker, he can dominate.
Cons:
- Decent athlete, won’t test as well as some in the class.
- Decent footwork through the route. Doesn’t get through breaks or cuts very well.
- Struggles to lock onto his block correctly at the snap.
- He struggles to read run-blocking assignments at times.
- A little bit undersized for the position.
