Foster Moreau
Tight End
LSU
Ed Hunt: How did it feel out there during the Senior Bowl practice?
Foster Moreau: It felt good. It felt good to get back into the swing of things. Almost a month removed now from playing ball and getting on the field. I’ve been running routes and hitting blocking sleds, but it’s not the same as action. Coach Shanahan has a good schedule for us and had a really good script and game plan, so I’m feeling good about it.
Ed Hunt: I’m noticing that you were a matchup nightmare today. What do you attribute that to?
Foster Moreau: I don’t know if I would call myself that (matchup nightmare), I ran a lot of routes poor today. I’m getting everything coached up and I’m trying to become a better route runner. I’m working on becoming smoother in my breaks and my cuts. It’s nice to get the kinks out. I don’t know what I would attribute it to.
Ed Hunt: Can you tell me about the offense at LSU?
Foster Moreau: Absolutely. It was a pro-style offense for three and a half to four years and that’s why a lot of guys come out, and they are so ready for an NFL system. This system we are playing with the 49ers, it’s a lot of familiar stuff. Got to change the terminology a little bit. Got to get all that stuff down. All the names and all the calls. We’ve been doing a really great job of it, and I’m happy that LSU has set me up for success.
