Florida State

Alex Khvatov:  What are your measurements (height, weight and forty time)?

Arthur Williams:  6’4, 325.

Alex Khvatov:  Where are you currently training for the NFL Draft?

Arthur Williams:  Titus Sports Academy in Tallahassee.

Alex Khvatov:  When is your Pro Day?

Arthur Williams:  March 28th.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall experience at the 2019 Tropical Bowl.

Arthur Williams:  It was a great experience.  I had a good time competing against the other players.

Alex Khvatov:  Who was the best player that you faced during that all-star game weekend?

Arthur Williams:  The best player that I faced was Antoine White.  He knows how to set up his pass rush and use his hands with aggression.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the biggest thing that you will take away from the Tropical Bowl?

Arthur Williams:  Learning how to adapt to different coaching styles.

Alex Khvatov:  Coming out of high school, what programs showed interest in you?

Arthur Williams:  Miami, Auburn, South Carolina and Florida State.

Alex Khvatov:  Why did you choose Florida State?

Arthur Williams:  I loved the history of the program and when I took my official visit, I knew Florida State is where I wanted to be.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your strengths?

Arthur Williams:  My biggest strength is my pass sets and being able to identify a defense and predicting what they are going to do.

Alex Khvatov:  What areas of your game are you trying to improve upon?

Arthur Williams:  I’m focusing on run blocking and the mental aspect of the game.  I understand being a professional means I can’t just rely on my athletic ability.  Every detail matters.

Alex Khvatov:  How difficult was it to make the transition from DL where you have played most of your career to OL before your senior year?

Arthur Williams:  Thankfully, I played offensive line in the past and I also had teammates put in extra time with me to help make the transition easier.  While there was a definite learning curve, it was as natural a transition as it could have been.

Alex Khvatov:  Describe your overall career.

Arthur Williams:  My career was amazing.  I never thought I would achieve the things that I did.  There were ups and downs, but the memories and bonds are what I cherish the most.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the highlight of your career up to this point?

Arthur Williams:  Being a starter for Florida State.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your biggest accomplishment in college that you are most proud of?

Arthur Williams:  My biggest accomplishment was moving to offense.  I knew our team needed help, so I stepped up to the challenge.

Alex Khvatov:  What have you learned the most from your coaching staff?

Arthur Williams:  Nobody is going to give you anything.  You have to come to work and compete every day.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your favorite NFL team?

Arthur Williams:  Pittsburgh Steelers.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is your favorite NFL player?

Arthur Williams:  Jadeveon Clowney.

Alex Khvatov:  What is the most important trait for an OL?

Arthur Williams:  Aggression, it’s something that can’t be taught.  If you have it, it’ll make your job a lot easier.

Alex Khvatov:  Before the ball is snapped, what are the tendencies that you are looking for from the defense?

Arthur Williams:  Always find your linebackers and safety – they will usually tell you if a blitz is coming.  I listen to the defensive line talking to pick up on their assignments.  Their stance and alignment will tell you what they want to do.

Alex Khvatov:  What players on your team should we keep an eye on for next season?

Arthur Williams:  Cam Akers, Tamorrion Terry, Jaiden Woodbey and Marvin Wilson.

Alex Khvatov:  Who is the toughest player that you have faced on an opposing team?

Arthur Williams:  Jerry Tillery.  It was a battle every snap to see who wins.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you enjoy most about football?

Arthur Williams:  Football is very relaxing for me.  The most critical situations are the most relaxing for me because that’s how I was coached.

Alex Khvatov:  What is your definition of a leader?

Arthur Williams:  Someone who decides to put the load on their back and guide everyone.

Alex Khvatov:  What are your hobbies?

Arthur Williams:  I love to fix cars and watch movies.

Alex Khvatov:  What do you want to do with your life after your football career is over?

Arthur Williams:  I want to coach and open up my own car shop.

Alex Khvatov:  What five words best describe you?

Arthur Williams:  Selfless, prideful, relentless, tough and aggressive.
