Shows the ability to pick up YAC

Soft hands

Long arms

Good hands

He is quick and sudden with his movements

Creates separation

Excels on crossing routes, hooks, curls and quick outs

Makes catches in traffic

Shows the ability to adjust to poorly thrown balls

Displays very good effort as a blocker, works hard in this area

Versatile, can line up in different spots

Upside

Weaknesses

Needs to bulk up and get stronger

Rounds off his routes at times

Needs to do a better job finding soft spots in zone coverage

Not elusive TE, won’t make defenders miss after the catch

Struggles against physical DB’s who get their hands on him

Overview

Caleb Wilson reminds me of Jordan Reed when he was coming out of Florida.  He is a receiving threat with very good speed.  He is a player who hasn’t reached his full potential yet.  He needs to get stronger.  But he looks like a mid-round pick.
