2023 Senior Bowl Scouting Notes: C Alex Forsyth, Oregon

When watching the tape, Alex Forsyth reminds me a lot of Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, playing with the same intensity and quickness to his game. Forsyth can move around and is very agile – capable of being schemed in various ways. He’s a solid athlete, has good strength, and plays with a lot of intensity. Forsyth could start in a pinch in his rookie season.

Alex Forsyth scouting notes

Pros:

  • Very athletic, moves well enough to pull very effectively.
  • Snap set looks awesome. Very quick and powerful.
  • Good upper body strength.
  • Fairly good at recovering.
  • Hand placement is pretty good.
  • Very stout pass blocker.
  • Very capable run blocker.
  • Picks up on assignments very well. Strong prospect.

Cons:

  • I think he could get the ball back in the shotgun faster, but that’s a little bit of nitpicking.
  • Not so much of a brute.
  • Decent anchor. Has struggled with some bigger bodies off of a snap.
