2023 Senior Bowl Scouting Notes: C Alex Forsyth, Oregon

When watching the tape, Alex Forsyth reminds me a lot of Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, playing with the same intensity and quickness to his game. Forsyth can move around and is very agile – capable of being schemed in various ways. He’s a solid athlete, has good strength, and plays with a lot of intensity. Forsyth could start in a pinch in his rookie season.

Alex Forsyth scouting notes

Pros:

Very athletic, moves well enough to pull very effectively.
Snap set looks awesome. Very quick and powerful.
Good upper body strength.
Fairly good at recovering.
Hand placement is pretty good.
Very stout pass blocker.
Very capable run blocker.
Picks up on assignments very well. Strong prospect.

Cons:

I think he could get the ball back in the shotgun faster, but that’s a little bit of nitpicking.
Not so much of a brute.
Decent anchor. Has struggled with some bigger bodies off of a snap.
