Nick Broeker played left tackle at Ole Miss until 2022, when he moved inside to left guard. He dropped penalties down from 10 in 2021 to 3 in 2022, but looks more like he struggled overall to hold up against power on the inside. Broeker is a rangy tackle prospect who wants to get downfield as a run blocker and use his athleticism to set well as a pass blocker.

Nick Broeker scouting notes
Pros:
- Moves very well for the position group. Solid athletic ability and should test well.
- Decent upper body strength.
- Good lower body, shows good explosion and anchoring strength.
- Very solid anchor and shows a ton of bend.
- Appears to be capable in pass protection. Has good strength and holds up very well.
- Does a good job getting downhill and generating push off of the line of scrimmage.
- Does a great job consistently in run blocking. Very stout. Doesn’t always win at the snap, but finds a way to effectively finish the block.
- Understands assignments very well and does a good job of going where he needs to.
Cons:
- Hand placement is okay, but it looks like there might be some arm length concerns.
- Technique is still lacking. Needs to be better off of the snap.
- Ole Miss played a heavy RPO offense under Lane Kiffin, which has helped him with his awareness not to get too far downfield. But – most of his work has been as a passive run blocker which could be an issue.
