Peter Skoronski played a ton of tackle at Northwestern, and most NFL Draft websites have him projected at the next level as a tackle. However, Skoronski has two big issues that should prevent him from playing tackle in the NFL – his lack of build and lateral quickness to hold up the edge. Skoronski looks like a much better, potentially perennial all-pro guard in the NFL for a long time.

Peter Skoronski scouting notes
Pros:
- Very strong upper body. Excellent strength.
- Stout lower body that allows him to anchor very effectively and launch forward as a run blocker.
- Very stout anchor. Doesn’t surrender much space or ground. Shows some bend ability.
- Strong hand placement. Does a great job holding in the block and keeping his hands on the interior of the defender.
- Great technique to handle defenders.
- Very strong pass blocker.
- Strong impact run blocker. Typically the main blocker that Northwestern runs their power, short yardage plays behind.
- Quick reaction to instances.
Cons:
- A tad bit slow laterally. Susceptible to outside speed rushes. Susceptible to any move at the top of his drop.
- Tends to stay too narrow for too long.
- Technique during the drop is good; when he gets to his anchor, things are susceptible.
