2023 Senior Bowl Scouting Notes: TE Will Mallory, Miami (FL)

Will Mallory is an intriguing evaluation at the next level because of how much the tight end position has changed over the last decade. If Mallory were in the draft ten years ago, he’d be viewed as a valuable tight end prospect. However, the position now requires a level of athleticism that Mallory doesn’t have. I think Mallory can be a good tight end as long as he’s working underneath and in some heavy run-blocking packages. Otherwise, Mallory’s lack of athleticism will limit him to how he can be utilized on the field.
