A transfer from Ohio State through Bryant, Curtis walked onto Ohio State in 2017, only holding one offer coming out of high school from Mount St. Joseph. After two seasons, he moved onto Bryant where he played decently well, before transferring one more time after COVID to Gannon. At Gannon, Curtis was a Harlon Hill trophy finalist, and produced good numbers in two seasons as a starter, throwing for over 5000 yards in those two seasons and 47 touchdowns.

Curtis looks like a prospect who can develop but might have to do it in the lower levels of football (XFL/USFL) before he gets an NFL chance. He has an NFL caliber arm and has flashed the placement to make it and stay at the next level. It’ll be about opportunity and coaching, where Curtis can make large strides and hit his immense upside.
Kory Curtis scouting notes
Pros:
- Flashes some solid arm strength. Can throw with solid velocity. Has the arm strength to throw well off platform.
- Fairly accurate quarterback. Looks like he can make throws decently well.
- Flashes solid placement.
- Nimble for his size. Very stout and strong, hard to bring down as he maneuvers the pocket.
- Ridiculously smart quarterback. Has a very solid understanding of the game.
Cons:
- Doesn’t throw with touch well. Wasn’t asked to much and flashed it in a few games, but is much more a velocity thrower.
- Release is slightly extended. Long motion takes him a while to get through.
- Doesn’t position well in the pocket, can move right into pressure.
- Footwork is very raw and underdeveloped. Needs to work on his platform and base better. Platform Is much too wide, and needs to be more upright.
- Limited athlete, and won’t create much as a runner downfield.
