I really try to remain positive with prospects, especially with recent events involving life and death across college and professional football. However, Richard Gouraige doesn’t really excite me, personally, as a prospect. Gouraige is a three-and-a-half-year starter at Florida, taking the job at the end of 2019 and never surrendering. He’s bounced between left guard and left tackle. He’s just lacking some strength that will mess him up as an NFL player. If he can develop that and better use his leverage, he will be a stud.

Richard Gouraige scouting notes
Pros:
- Good lateral quickness.
- Hand placement is pretty good.
- Fairly consistent as a pass blocker. Holds up well but will surrender ground in his set.
- Shows good run blocking strength. Gets downhill well.
- Does a good job picking up on assignments. Can switch over.
Cons:
- I don’t see a lot of speed or movement ability from Gouraige.
- Shows a decent anchor, not great. Struggles to hold his ground.
- Can sell out a little too much trying to get his push and go too far. If he doesn’t get a good step off the snap, he surrenders a lot of ground.
