West Report – Day 3 (Wednesday Practice)

QB Brett Rypien (Boise State) – was the most accurate QB in practice. He has shown good field vision and clean footwork. He has worked through those progressions well. He has a live arm and has thrown some passes with terrific anticipation. He executed the two-minute drill offense to perfection.
RB Devine Ozigbo (Nebraska) – has good size and a thick lower body. He runs hard and has displayed good vision. Soft hands have been on display. He has caught the ball well out of the backfield.
DT Daniel Wise (Kansas) – has been a beast at the Shrine Game practices. He had another strong day. He displayed good hand usage, terrific quickness and an effective inside move. His motor is unbelievable. He is like an energizer bunny.
DT Chris Nelson (Texas) – is strong at the point of attack. He blew up a couple of run plays during the scrimmage portion. He flashed in the one on one’s again. He has displayed quickness and power.
CB Jordan Wyatt (SMU) – has shown speed to turn and run with receivers downfield. He is quick out of his transitions, not much wasted motion. His closing speed has been impressive.
CB Montre Hartage (Northwestern) – had a good day on Wednesday. He is a corner with good size who plays with sound technique. He mirrors the receiver well. He got physical at the line of scrimmage and excelled in press coverage in the one on one’s.
