Risers from 2020 Tropical Bowl - NFL Draft Blitz

Risers from 2020 Tropical Bowl

2020 Tropical Bowl

Here are the players who have helped themselves the most during the 2020 all-star game weekend.

DE Darrius Moragne (Kansas)

He was disruptive and hard to contain in the one on one’s.  He showed that he can line up outside and inside.  He has good size and long arms.  He was quick off the ball and displayed good bend off the edge.

DL Kevin Thurmon (Arkansas State)

Arkansas State product knows how to use his hands.  He is very advanced in that regard.  He is able to disengage from blockers in a hurry.  His pass rush repertoire moves were on full display.  He has a terrific spin move.  He is not the tallest DL, but he can play in multiple fronts.

LB Zach Hall (Southeast Missouri State)

He won the Buck Buchanan award as a junior in 2018.  He is a tackling machine.  Hall is a very instinctive, quick LB.  He was always around the ball.  He filled the gap well in the run game and looked solid in pass coverage.  He played MLB, but I seem him moving outside at the next level.

WR Amechie Walker Jr. (Iowa State)

Walker played at corner for Iowa State the last couple of years.  However, he showed that he has the skills of a WR at the Tropical Bowl.  He ran very good routes and displayed reliable hands.  He is more quick than fast.  He was able to finish at the catch point.  He is a slot WR who also brings some return ability.

RB Walter Fletcher (Ball State)

He had a great career at Edinboro before transferring to Ball State for his final collegiate season.  He displayed a good burst through the hole.  He caught the ball extremely well out of the backfield.  He showed soft hands and the ability to run good routes.

QB Tom Flacco (Towson)

His older brother Joe has played in the league for awhile and has won a Super Bowl with the Ravens.  Tom shined in Sunday’s game.  He threw for three TD’s on Sunday.  He threw an accurate deep ball and displayed good pocket awareness.  He can extend plays and keeps his eyes downfield.  He is an athletic QB who has a lot of starts under his belt.
